Meet Susan Van Dyke, MD
Dr. Susan Van Dyke is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 40 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology. She founded Van Dyke Laser & Skin Care, LTD and Van Dyke Aesthetics, practices devoted exclusively to aesthetic dermatology for nearly three decades, where she built a reputation for thoughtful, patient-centered care and a commitment to innovation in the field.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Van Dyke has worked closely with many of the leading companies in aesthetic medicine, including Allergan, Galderma, Merz, Solta/Bausch + Lomb, Cynosure, and others. She has served as an educator, trainer, speaker, and advisor, helping to advance both injectable and energy-based cosmetic treatments. As a Master Trainer for Allergan’s VOLUMA®, JUVÉDERM®, and BOTOX®, she has been involved in physician education for many years and has lectured internationally on technologies such as Ultherapy, Thermage, and Fraxel.
Known for her approachable style and depth of experience, Dr. Van Dyke has also shared her expertise through television, radio, print, and online media, helping patients better understand cosmetic dermatology and skincare.
In addition to her work in aesthetics, Dr. Van Dyke is deeply involved with Breakthrough T1D, where she serves as a Mission Information Volunteer and member of the Arizona Board of Directors. Inspired in part by her family’s connection to Type 1 diabetes, she is passionate about supporting education, advocacy, and research efforts aimed at improving lives and advancing toward cures.
Dr. Van Dyke earned her BA from Wellesley College and her MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. After completing three years of internal medicine training, she pursued dermatology residency training at The Ohio State University and University of Arizona College of Medicine. She has been board-certified in dermatology since 1984 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Van Dyke is licensed in both Arizona and Washington and divides her time between the two states, enjoying time with her blended family, including six children and eight grandchildren.
